Dr. Marie Thérèse English, C.Psychol.,Ps.S.I. Chartered Psychologist
Marie is a chartered psychologist with both the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is registered with HCPC. She has extensive experience in working with children and adults in psycho- educational settings. Marie works with adults in her role as a counselling psychologist both therapeutically and psycho-educationally.
Marie has worked with adults in a number of settings. She has worked in community counselling services and in
counselling services supporting adolescent mental health. Marie is also a lecturer in higher education and she has
experience of teaching psychology to undergraduate and post-graduate students. Marie is a tutor with the Dyslexia Association of Ireland.
Marie integrates psychological theory and research in her role as a psychologist. She has a strong background in carrying out psychological research and this on-going research forms the basis of her approach to working with clients. For Marie, the aim is to support each client with their particular psychological needs in a confidential, professional and caring environment.
